The first thing I'd recommend is to make sure cross-saves are connected on both your Switch (using the "Cross-Saves" option on the main menu) and your Steam (from your Steam Library, right-click on Hades and select “Properties” > General > Steam Cloud, and select the box that says “Keep games saves in the Steam Cloud for Hades”).

If you've fought Theseus and the Minotaur yourself, you’ll know it’s a pretty tough tussle to emerge victorious from - as you might expect, I was not a happy camper, which is probably why I played so much afterwards that I was able to write this Hades tips and tricks guide specifically designed to articulate the best ways of approaching literally every single aspect of the game.Hey, sorry to hear about this. I turned off my laptop and what do you know - no autosave.

Several hours passed, I finished work, and, in my ignorance, completely forgot Hades was running. Of course, having the ability to play the same Hades save file on PC and Switch is a luxury you'll need to invest in by purchasing the game a second time for the other platform. One time, after having just about defeated Theseus and the Minotaur, I paused the game because I had to work. However, if you, for instance, are anything like me, you might, possibly, maybe sometimes forget about that. That last encounter and anything you gained as a result of it, from extra cash to a weapon upgrade, is protected by the autosave.

That said, my god, the names you gave everyone. So, when you defeat every enemy in a chamber, collect your reward - which, if you’re lucky, will be one of the best Boons in Hades - and make your way through the door to the next room, your progress will save. 1 S.A.SxDeathoRx 8:36am Originally posted by Atomsk: Ty for the save, lost my file when I changed PCs. The way saves are done with this game, you cant simply switch accounts and retain your saves, they will get overwritten because they are stored locally and need to be copied elsewhere. As such, you can move those save folders as you would do with any. Essentially, Hades - like most games with autosave structures - saves your progress at certain places deemed as checkpoints. Check the pinned thread in technical issues subforum and see if you still have a chance to recover it. There is no encryption on the save files from Steam the game may encrypt data, so YMMV. Saving in Hades is very simple and requires no input on your end, but it’s also something that can easily go wrong if you don’t understand how it works.
